Here are my pictures of the Falcon National Convention in Indianapolis. It was a time for friends, cars, and good times. The drag races were pretty neat, but the crowning moment was driving around the Indianapolis Speedway! On our way home, we stopped to see some relatives we hadn't seen for awhile in Iowa and Nebraska. It was good to see them and catch up on each other.

Here was are!

Susan and a good friend Joe.

Ever seen a car in a bubble?

The Wild Child!

Sheer horsepower

One wild bird

Daddy Warbucks sittin pretty

And they're off!

Check out the E.T. and speed!

Not a Falcon, but fast!

Lined up to head to the Speedway

We're on our way

There it is!

In we go

Waiting our turn

Here we go!

On the track at last!

Lots of excited birds

What a sight

The finish line all too soon

Lined up to exit

All too soon we have to leave

No chance for a second run

The Speedway Museum

It's all about fast cars

It looks fast just sitting there

All kinds of fast vehicles

What a wall of prizes

Wouldn't it look good in the living room?

A real history of speed is here

All eras of speed are represented

Remember these?

The turbine powered cars were quite famous

Yet another nice bauble for the living room

Cars

for

every

kind

of

taste

All the way from down under

Ever seen a Cayuse?

Yes we were there!

And so it came to an end

But there's always next year!

Gotta climb

Fill 'er up!

Those Iowa sunsets can be really pretty

Uncle Louis & Aunt Irene

Michael has a good view!
