Here are pictures from a trip my family and I took to Yellowstone National Park in 2001. We had a great time and I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend that everyone go and experience this wonderful place!

Tree Rock monument in SE Wyoming

Southern entrance to the park

Beautiful Jackson Lake in the Tetons

Michael on Jackson Lake's "beach"

More of the "beach"

Beautiful Jackson Lake shoreline

And yet more of the "beach"!

Now we head into the southern entrance to Yellowstone

The aftermath of the 1988 fire

Beautiful Lewis River in southern Yellowstone

It was just beautiful there!

My lovely wife getting her feet wet

Our first bison sighting!

This was cool!

He only wants to eat

He's moving our way

He's getting closer!

Nothing like a good roll to scratch that itch

That feels good!

That's as close as we need to be!

Old Faithful at last

Up it goes

Higher and higher!

Beehive, one of the many other geysers

Two attractions, bison and geysers

Can you see the elk?

Interesting Castle geyser

Beautiful

but

hot

Trekking through the geysers

Petrified long ago by the geyser

The most beautful hot pool in the park!

Thar she blows!

And yet another type of geyser

Wanna mud bath?

Excelsior geyser flows into the Yellowstone River

Another pool

The Yellowstone River

Tower Falls from a distance

Tower Falls river

Compare the falls to the people!

Couldn't fit it all

into one shot!

Jared way up there with his arms raised

Michael and I at the falls

Michael is having a good time!

Susan sunning herself

Two beautiful sights!

Can you see Jared waving?

These elk are camera-shy

This fella isn't so camera shy

That dot in the center is a bear

These animals are BIG!

A mama and her baby

Yes they can swim

A shadow of what existed 200 years ago

God really made the deer to blend in!

Another of Yellowstone Park's wonders

The mighty Upper Falls

The green spot at the top of the falls is caused by a rock

The Lower Falls empty into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

This is one beautful canyon

What gorgeous scenery God has created!

Now you know why I love it here!

Susan found a new friend!

Talk about a bear hug

Jared gets his Junior Ranger award

Michael beomes a Junior Ranger too
